Confluence BrewingCompany may only be just a brewery and a tap room with nofood other than seasoned mini-pretzels, but their IPAs arenot to be taken lightly. The Des Moines IPA (above,second from right) is excellent and my favorite of their flagshipbeers. Among Confluence's recent limited brews the ThomasBeck Black IPA also exhibits a hoppy appeal thoughless bitter than the DSM IPA. The finish comes offdrier as well, which is surprising for such a darkly colored brew(as seen below, on the right).
